What’s Great About the Olympics
It’s not just about sports…
To many people, there is little quite like the Olympics that makes the average citizen feel like they’re invited to a Worldwide from their sitting room. What else brings the world together on that scale? Some may say Christmas, Easter, or the World Cup. Having nearly enough every country in the world, a wide range of sports to pick from, state of the art venues, dramatic stories, and the ideals of the Olympic movement of excellence, friendship, and respect have felt like a bubble of joy in a hectic day to day world. Many people can talk about the first Olympics they watched and the impact it had on them. The parade of nations, spectacular celebrations, watching loads of sport, colorful supporters, and looking forward to future Olympics. On a bigger scale, attending the Olympic park in person Hockey event in person at the Olympic Park and being mesmerized by everything there can make the hairs on the back of people’s necks stand up. These are some of the reasons why the Olympics is loved by so many.
